Hey Sam. Looking at this old video on flow sensors. I am thinking about purchase a digiten flow sensor for my UV sterilisers. Did you find the Digitens worked well with salt water? Any issues with leaking etc over time? Thanks
Only tried them out for a while and to be honest, I would only recommend them in a temporary setup. They might be fine permanently, but I decided it was safest to remove when not measuring
@@ParkersReef Why is that? risk of leak? Any flow sensor you would recommend? I also want to use it as a safety feature (i.e. notification if no flow). Thanks
@dilshanudayasiri231 more risk of it leaching metals or something I think
Can’t wait for this! RGA was my old LFS, so I’m super excited to see what Jack and the team can do with this new store!
You’ll have to setup an upgrade mate as you’ll be walking home with hundreds of corals 😂
@@ParkersReef still working on finding some more space for *that* upgrade 🤣
@julzalexander haha you can make it happen!!!
Cant wait to check this place out, looks insane already,,,,,
It's going to be pretty amazing!!!
Looks great. What aluminium profile you use? 45mm?
Good question! I’d need the team to reply, looks about 30 or 40 to me :)
Excellent video! Can’t wait for the dream reef update
Thank you!!
Where is the new store going to be?
It’s in the Collingwood area
First time since joining the hobby 2 years ago that I have significant color pop. I always thought it was the light, to be honest. I started with red sea, which barely even maintains. I then went to marinfauna, but it made my tank color and everythign real bad. So one day, about two weeks ago, I came across aquaforest, and told myself that i would start first with ricco food and zoa food. And unbelievably, the heads have multiplied and the color pop is unreal. I never really thought I needed actual food for my zoas, but even my gonipora is unbelievably healthy, after 3-4 weeks, without losing ANY HEADS. So I gotta say AF is by far, THE BEST OUT THERE!
Glad to hear it’s working for you!
Always popped in the South Melbourne store as it was walking distance from work. Can’t wait to pop by Apex 👌🏽👍🏼 I’ll have my big upgraded tank by the time it’s open.
Perfect timing!!
No address to share yet but what side of Melbourne? Been a hole to fill since we lost Ben’s shop 😢
In the collingwood area :)
Those lights probably cost more than my car 😅
haha yeah, is a high end setup that is for sure!
@parkers reef pls do a video on how flow is address in the dream tank
as many sources as possible rather than just a couple on high flow. Random flow from multiple sources is always best. P.S. Epic username, hack the planet!
@@ParkersReef hehe thanks, you know the movie :P
@parkers Reef please do a video on how you address flow in the dream tank

Wow, this is going to be absolutely EPIC! So stoked that I am A. planning a new tank & B. live in Melb! 🙌🏼
Right place, right time!!
Phwoar Sam, what did Jack do? Rob a bank? 😂 Congratulations Jack, looks "absolutely" amazing!
They lads have done well!!!
@@ParkersReef VERY, WELL 👌 Love it!
Holy moley! Have they over estimated the Australian / Melbourne coral / fish hobby market??
If you build it, they will come
What a mega store . Have to visit next time I go down there. I will be waiting to see you showing the opening.
Hopefully it will be open then mate!
Amazing Sam. Just one more reason for me to grab Lee and get on a plane 😂 What an awesome venture, i hope they have huge success. Shout out to your always on point videography, respecting the ideas, the build...and the door codes. Top job
Appreciate that mate! You guys are always welcome down here too, I’d be honoured to take you guys about!
My wallet hurts just watching this build out.
I know right?!
Did someone win the lotto? Surely must be a power station hidden somewhere out the back for the heating and lighting requirements alone 😂
Haha yep will take some resourcing to run for sure
Man how the hell does someone get the capital for a shop this massive/high tech? As cool a shop their old place was it wasnt exactly a massive money turner 😅 abaolutely wild
The team behind the store are very successful and love the hobby like the rest of us. Win win for all involved!
I thought at the end of the video he was gonna wear a Green Goblin suit😂
Haha anything is possible at the grand opening!!!
Where will this place be located (street) in city?
In Collingwood. Actual address will be revealed closer to opening date
Reef builders/ Tidal Gardens version of Australia. Insane systems! Be interesting to see it all in motion.
Certainly in that vicinity that is for sure, except it is a retail store open to the public!!!
Now that looks crazy, Can’t wait till it up and going well done!!
You and me both!
where in melb?
Address to be released closer to opening date, but it is in the Collingwood area
Who is bankrolling this? 😅 it’s going to be incredible when finished.
The right people are involved to make this a sure fire hit!
They mean business. This is gonna be a sweet store!
It’s already so epic, I cannot wait!
Owh no that brick chimney is a huge giveaway when you know the area 😂 can’t wait this is amazing like Disney land for reef keeping .
Not much longer now!!
ive been waiting to hear from the guys about this new store! so exciting!!
Big progress!!
What a setup, great planning. Did they win powerball 😂
They’re going all in!
Great Video. Is Billy a part of the store? Cheers.
No I think Billy has moved onto other ventures
Hey sam great vid mate, This shop looks amazing already, really looking forward to seeing this shop open in the future I would have to say it looks on par with Tidal gardens from the U.S. with how clean and well thought out the shop is. Great job guys you've taken it to another level! All the best with it.
This is a retail store though, so open to the public 7 days a week which takes it to another level!!
Hey Sam, what did you use to push the water into the deltec reactor? Plumbed from a manifold or a continuous feed dosing pump? Thanks 😊
I had it plumbed off a return pump (with a tee)
That’s incredible! The thought that has gone into every detail is amazing. So crisp and clean and the quarantine room is so cool. Reminds me of our labs at work. Can’t wait to see this when it opens up
It’ll be something pretty special for sure
Great tour, super excited to visit once they open
It’ll be amazing!
Their passion for the aquatic world is inspiring. That place will be like a theme park for fish folk to visit. Good luck guys.
I know right, cannot wait!!
I'm excited -not even a fishkeeper! Wishing them every success.
A place like this will make you a fish keeper!!
Can’t wait to see it again once upon a time and running!
You and me both!!
That shop looks like its gonna be beautiful. A work of art.
It sure is, very exciting to see it come together
I used to work with Jack and Ken at their old facility Reef Galleria, these boys really know what they’re doing and are some of the forefront in experience and knowledge in the saltwater side of the industry, before closing the smaller shop in preparation for a massive upsize we experimented with some freshwater tanks in the shop and they were a huge hit, excited to see that they’re taking the bat and running with it. Really looking forward to popping by soon to see Ken, Jack, and all the boys who’ve put in their hard work to make this dream shop a reality.
It’s really taking shape!
Wow. This will be Australia’s destination LFS. Well done guys
Looks a treat doesn’t it!
Cant wait to see it wet
2500lt is nowhere near big enough for any free swimming shark, that is the average size of a transport container for a 60cm shark, not a permanent home. I sure hope these guys actually seek some expert help on stocking before they go ahead with this plan.
They sure will, it’s still just a concept plan :)
Reckon you can fit a few whale shark, hammer head and great white in there for sure 😂😂😂😂😂
Im sure a mako shark would fit.
Absolutely next level. I hope these guys have a proper online store and ship dry and live goods Australia wide.
They sure will!
Can’t wait boys! Gonna be epic!
They’ve done well!!
Hi sam, We love to see some new stores like this opening, It on my list, when i visit Melbourne , Also are you going to do a review on the new reef factory products that come onto the markets , like the wave makers
If I get my hands on them you bet
Wow...$$$ went into this.
You bet, they’ve gone all out!
Wow this place is massive. Looking forward to them opening up!
It will be incredible!!!
Their aren't too many things in the world that are more beautiful than marine fish and corals. ❤
Can't argue with that!!!
Hi. Out of curiosity, what lapel mic are you using ? It always sounds so good !
thank you! I just use the Rode Wireless go 2, they aren't the best thing in the world but they are sure better than the built in microphone on the camera!
